Meet Paula — Founder of Ngilla Flow
Over the years, I’ve come to understand just how much the water we use every day on our skin, in our homes, for our families can affect how we feel, inside and out. That understanding didn’t come from books. It came from lived experience. I grew up in a mining town in the Pilbara, where the water was harsh, so full of chemicals and calcium it left my skin dry, my hair brittle, and our showers coated in buildup. We didn’t question it. It was just how things were until I realised they didn’t have to be. Ngilla Flow was born from that moment: wanting better, and believing the water in our homes should nourish and support us, not work against us.
For me, water isn’t just a necessity. It’s healing. It’s cleansing. It holds meaning. When water is clean and cared for, it has the power to restore, not just our skin and hair, but our overall sense of wellbeing. Ngilla (pronounced nyi-lla) means “water” in my Aboriginal language, Banjima. It represents more than the product. It speaks to my culture, my connection to Country, and my respect for water’s power to restore and renew. Ngilla Flow isn’t just about filtering water; it’s about restoring balance, helping you feel good in your own skin, and giving you back the comfort, care, and quality you deserve.
